The Cashmere tennis club’s trophy cabinet is full to bursting after it’s men’s and women’s senior teams cleaned up the Canterbury Tennis interclub competitions.

The club has all four major trophies after the women secured the ASB Bank Cup last weekend.

The women’s team, led by Jennifer Poskitt, ended the season with a 4-2 victory over Burwood Park that gave them a one-point winning margin over second-placed Hagley Park on the points table. It was the second set of spoils for Cashmere, who won the women’s shield earlier in the season.

The men’s team won the ASB Bank Cup with a victory over Elmwood that pushed them 11 points clear of second-placed Waimairi 1. Cashmere had earlier won the shield competition ahead of Elmwood and Waimairi.

James Meredith lost just one singles match before heading to the United States for a college scholarship.
